Configuring your Antivirus Software

Your antivirus software is a key in safeguarding the information available on your computer. When you connect your computer to AUBnet it is important to keep that software up-to-date in order to continue safeguarding your information and at the same time safeguard AUBnet from viruses that might be resident on your computer.
IMPORTANT
If your computer was infected with viruses and you connect it to AUBnet, then AUBnet systems will automatically block your computer access to AUBnet services until you successfully clean it from viruses.
Failure to clean your computer properly from viruses will subject your AUBnet account (used for e-mail, internet...etc.) to automatic blocking.
For successful virus protection, your antivirus software must be updated with the latest virus definition files. Here is how you configure your Antivirus software to get its updates when your computer is connected to AUBnet from within AUB campus or from outside AUB (when you are connected to the Internet at home for example).
   McAfee Antivirus
 Norton Antivirus
