Configuring Outlook 2003

Step by step guide to configure Outlook 2003: (For AUB Students Only)

STEP 1: Start Microsoft Outlook 2003

STEP 2: Create an account by going to "Tools" menu and selecting "Email Accounts".

STEP 3: - Click on "Add a new e-mail account" then click "Next" - Choose "POP3" as the server type

STEP 4: Fill in your personal information: Name and E-mail Address. For "Server Information", use the following: - Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3s.students.aub.edu.lb - Outgoing mail server (SMTP): ssmtp.students.aub.edu.lb Click on "More Settings ..."

STEP 5: In the "More Settings ..." screen, click on the "Outgoing Server" tab Check the option "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication Click the radio button: "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"

STEP 6: In the "More Settings ..." screen, click on the "Advanced" tab Check the option "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" for both incoming and outgoing servers Enter the following port numbers: - for the incoming mail server (POP3): 995 - For the outgoing mail server (SMTP): 465

STEP 7: Click on "OK" Click on "Next"
