What are the steps to follow?
Create: First of all, you need to create your website using any of the available tools such as:
- Netscape Composer - choose Edit Page from the File Menu.
-
Microsoft Front Page
- Notepad or any text editor to write your own html code.
- Any other application that saves in html.
Save: It is advisable that you save your website and any future modifications on your local hard disk and then publish or FTP to remote server. This way your local copy will always be current and up to date.
Copy: Then you need to copy your site to the server using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Read this document that guides you through the publishing process.
If using MS Front Page, you may directly publish to the server from within the application. Read steps on how to publish your site using Front Page.
Check: The last step is to check that all the links are working and the images are visible in both Netscape and Internet Explorer. There are many utilities that help you to check the integrity of your files.
