is the second generation of the Web. It facilitates creativity, collaboration and sharing among users through technologies such as RSS, social bookmarking, blogging and wikis as well as applications such as YouTube and Flickr.Simply defined,it is a Web platform based on sharing.

Web 2.0 is about networking, socializing, sharing & linking people.
